A significant thing about teas from Lin Cang region is that they are sharp, tannic and aromatic, but with low bitterness. Since astringency and bitterness usually go hand in hand, Lin Cang teas provide a unique "unbalanced" balance that is unique amongst pu er regions.

It's been a couple of years since we commissioned a single tree pu er. Single trees are rare because the leaves are harvested from the largest and often assumed oldest trees of the village. Some families number these trees to keep track. And you guessed, this is tree #62. We tried about 14 trees and decided that this is our tree. We hope you like what we favored.
